Remember-Me-Not

Remember the happy if not the sad,
Remember the good if not the bad,
Remember the kiss if not the lips,
Remember the fairy if not the tale.

Love is not out for sale,
And you can’t have it in mail,
Snail mail takes time,
And so does love.

’Tis love that you ask,
Not ’tis sorrows,
You wish for beautiful morrows,
Whilst you dwell on your sorrows.

Remember-me-not the pain never says,
Yet you wish that everyday,
Yet pain stays,
There is no sorrow without smiles,
It says and thus, it stays.

Acceptance is hard,
And so is the truth,
There is no pleasure without pain,
And no pain without pleasure.
