The Eye

The eye see the truth,
Veiled by the lie,
That nobody can deny,
The power of the eye.

Of the real world,
It captures all,
Leaving out the tiny bits,
For us to fall.

Fall from grace,
Fall from praise,
Fall, tumble, stumble,
And gamble on our sight.

Deceived by the eye,
We go on running,
After what pleases,
This eye.

That we cannot deny,
All efforts towards,
Such thing are nigh,
Eyes always show the lie.

The truth remains,
The sacrament of the one,
Who closes their eye,
And goes within.
